- Ptosis Ocular Prosthetic Shells (Crutch Shell):
Drooping eyelids, known as ptosis. While in some cases may exhibit more pronounced drooping of upper eyelid, additional support such as an extra horizontal or diagonal ridge in the shell can be added to stabilise the upper eyelid or provide supplementary support on the superior part of the shell.
- Holo Ocular Prosthetic Shells:
In cases where the orbit volume is extensive, it may occur due to either the absence of an implant in the socket or an insumciently sized implant, resulting in an increased volume of the socket. Consequently, the shell size would need to be larger, resulting in a higher weight of the shell. This increased weight exerts gravitational pull within the orbit, causing a misalignment of the eyes. To mitigate this issue, we aim to maximise the size of the shell while minimising its weight by incorporating a holo inside the shell.
- Custom Made Scleral Shells:
A shell with a thickness mostly less than 1.5mm is termed a scleral shell. Based on the socket size, measurements are taken and to match the eye colour precisely to that of a normal eye. These customised scleral shells are known as custom-made scleral shells.
