Oculoplasty is a sub speciality in ophthalmology that deals with eyelids, orbit (bony socket), tear ducts (lacrimal system) and structures surrounding the eyes (ocular adnexa). Oculoplasty surgeons are eye surgeons who get additional training in ophthalmic plastic surgery after finishing their residency and are specialized in periocular plastic and reconstructive surgeries. They are a vital link between eye surgery and facial plastic surgery.
